2009 Mazda 6 Priced Starting at $18,550
Mazda has announced that its new 2009 Mazda 6 sport sedan will be priced starting at $18,550. The top model, the Mazda 6 S Grand Touring with a 273-horsepower V6 and six-speed Sport automatic transmission, will cost $28,260. Prices do not include a $670 destination charge. The price range on the outgoing 2008 Mazda 6 was $19,140-$27,150.
Mazda calls the second-generation Mazda 6 the first in its lineup of "Zoom-Zoom Evolution" products that combine "style, dynamics, economy and a great price." The Mazda 6 gets an all-new MZR 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 170 hp, developed by Mazda, or a 3.7-liter V6 that makes 273 hp. The V6 is the one already in use in the CX-9 SUV. Either engine comes with a six-speed manual or five-speed Sport AT automatic. The V6 has the additional option of a six-speed Sport AT automatic transmission.
Four versions of the Mazda 6 will be available: SV, Sport, Touring and Grand Touring. Power windows, mirrors and locks, air-conditioning, ABS, dynamic stability control and traction control and front and seat-mounted airbags and side curtain airbags will all be standard on all models. |
